Massive Night in the NBA: High Scores, Big Performances and Tight Finishes
It was a cracking slate of NBA action with blowouts, shootouts and a couple of genuine nail-biters. From Toronto’s fast start in Indiana to Utah and Chicago trading buckets in a 254-point thriller, punters had plenty to digest – especially if you were tracking player props and totals.
The Toronto Raptors handled business on the road against the Indiana Pacers, while the Cleveland Cavaliers poured in 133 on the Philadelphia 76ers. In the West, the Utah Jazz and Chicago Bulls put on an offensive clinic, the New Orleans Pelicans edged the Brooklyn Nets in a tight one, and the Denver Nuggets outpaced the Dallas Mavericks. Rounding out the night, the Sacramento Kings got the better of the New York Knicks, and the Los Angeles Clippers controlled the Washington Wizards behind a big two-way night from Kawhi Leonard.
Below is a breakdown of each matchup, focusing on final scores and the standout performances based solely on the official box-score-style data provided.
Indiana Pacers vs Toronto Raptors
The Raptors took this one on the road, winning 115–101 over the Pacers. Toronto came out flying with a commanding 39–18 first quarter, and that early punch really set the tone. By half-time, the Raptors led 67–48, and even though Indiana matched them in the second half (Pacers 53, Raptors 48), the damage was already done.
Raptors’ stars: Barnes, Ingram and Dick stuff the stat sheet
Toronto’s attack was well spread with multiple big contributors:
- Scottie Barnes – 26 points, 7 rebounds, 13 assists for a monster 46 PRA. He also added 3 steals and 1 block (6 combined turnovers + stocks), showing up everywhere.
- Brandon Ingram – 30 points, 7 boards, 4 dimes, good for 41 PRA and 34 in points+assists (PA). A genuine go-to scorer on the night.
- Gradey Dick – 21 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, finishing on 35 PRA, with a strong 32 points+rebounds (PR). He also knocked down a three.
- Collin Murray-Boyles – 10 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists for a nice all-round game (23 PRA).
- Ochai Agbaji – 10 points, 1 rebound, 0 assists but chipped in defensively with 2 blocks and 3 combined steals+blocks+t/o (TOS+stocks).
From a props angle, Barnes absolutely cleared typical combo lines with his 46 PRA and 6 turnovers+stocks. Ingram also landed comfortably over most scoring and PRA marks with 30 points and 41 PRA.
Pacers’ effort: Siakam leads, but early hole too deep
Indiana had their moments across the middle quarters, winning the 2nd and 3rd individually, but they never fully recovered from the 21-point deficit after the first term.
- Pascal Siakam – Team-high 26 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, totalling 40 PRA and 36 in PR. He did turn it over 4 times and didn’t record a steal or block on the night.
- Andrew Nembhard – 14 points, 2 rebounds, 6 assists (22 PRA), plus 1 block. Strong playmaking contribution.
- Johnny Furphy – 10 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists (22 PRA) and 2 blocks, giving Indiana some energy on both ends.
- Aaron Nesmith – 6 points, 5 boards, 2 assists (13 PRA) but also 4 turnovers and 6 total turnovers+stocks.
- Jay Huff – 7 points, 4 rebounds, 0 assists (11 PRA) but a notable impact at the rim with 3 blocks.
The Pacers actually outscored Toronto 53–48 in the second half, but with the Raptors shooting out to a 19-point half-time lead, it was a chase all night. From a betting perspective, first-quarter and first-half markets would have been decided early in Toronto’s favour, while full-game totals were pushed up by the Raptors’ strong start.
Philadelphia 76ers vs Cleveland Cavaliers
Cleveland’s offence caught fire in a convincing 133–107 win away to Philadelphia. The Cavs opened 33–18 in the first quarter and never looked in real danger, leading 60–47 at the half and pouring in a huge 73 points after the break.
Cavs light it up: Mitchell and Mobley headline
It was a dominant scoring night from several Cavaliers, and the data shows multiple players easily clearing typical scoring and PRA marks:
- Donovan Mitchell – 35 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists, giving him a massive 51 PRA and 42 PR. He also added 1 steal and kept turnovers low (1).
- Darius Garland – 20 points, 3 boards, 7 dimes for 30 PRA, with 3 threes made and only 4 turnovers.
- Evan Mobley – 17 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists, good for 36 PRA and 30 PR, plus 4 blocks and 1 steal (7 turnovers+stocks).
- De’Andre Hunter – 17 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, totalling 25 PRA, and knocked down 3 threes.
- Jaylon Tyson – 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 threes, finishing on 20 PRA.
Cleveland’s balanced scoring – 33, 27, 33 and 40 points across the four quarters – made this a high-total game, and the Cavs’ core pieces delivered across all the key prop categories (points, assists, rebounds and combos).
Sixers struggle to keep pace despite Embiid and George
The 76ers put up 107 points but couldn’t match Cleveland’s efficiency and depth. Still, there were some strong individual efforts:
- Joel Embiid – 20 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists (27 PRA) along with 1 steal and 1 block; he also had 6 turnovers and 8 combined turnovers+stocks.
- Paul George – 17 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists for 25 PRA, adding a steal and 2 made threes.
- Tyrese Maxey – 14 points, 2 boards, 4 assists (20 PRA), plus 2 blocks and 0 steals, modest but efficient.
- Andre Drummond – 7 points, 9 rebounds, 0 assists (16 PRA), dominating the glass in his minutes.
From a betting angle, Cavs’ player overs – especially Mitchell (35 points, 51 PRA) and Mobley (36 PRA) – look like they would have been very popular tickets. Philadelphia’s late scoring couldn’t drag them back inside the big number, with the Cavs winning each quarter bar the second.
Chicago Bulls vs Utah Jazz
This one was a genuine shootout. The Bulls outlasted the Jazz 128–126 in Chicago, with both sides putting together big runs. Utah edged the first and third quarters, 39–36 and 32–23, but Chicago’s 35–23 second quarter and a strong 34–32 finish in the fourth were just enough to get them over the line.
At half-time, the Bulls led 71–62, and although the Jazz closed the gap in the second half (Utah 64, Chicago 57), they fell just short in what would have been a heart-stopper for spread and total bettors.
Bulls: Vučević dominates, balanced support cast
Chicago’s offence was extremely well-balanced, but one man stood above the rest:
- Nikola Vučević – A huge night with 35 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists for a massive 47 PRA and 42 PR. He also added 2 blocks and 3 steals+blocks+turnovers combined.
- Coby White – 6 points, 7 boards, 7 assists (20 PRA) despite 5 turnovers and 6 combined TOS+stocks.
- Jalen Smith – 12 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist (23 PRA), plus 2 threes and solid interior presence.
- Ayo Dosunmu – 15 points, 2 rebounds, 6 assists for 23 PRA, with 2 threes made.
- Dalen Terry – 11 points, 5 rebounds, 0 assists but strong defensively with 3 steals, 2 blocks and 5 combined steals+blocks.
For punters, Vučević’s overs in points, rebounds+assists (RA), and PRA all hit comfortably. The Bulls’ support cast – particularly White, Smith and Dosunmu – also had strong PRA returns.
Jazz: Sensabaugh explodes, George and Filipowski impress
Utah almost stole this on the back of some huge performances:
- Brice Sensabaugh – A monster 43 points with 5 threes, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, totalling 50 PRA and 48 PR. One of the standout individual lines of the entire day.
- Keyonte George – 25 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists for 35 PRA and 28 PR, along with 1 steal.
- Kyle Filipowski – 19 points, 7 boards, 4 assists (30 PRA), and 3 steals on the defensive end.
- Cody Williams – 6 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists (15 PRA), and 2 blocks to go with 2 steals+blocks+turnovers.
With the Jazz scoring at least 32 points in three of the four quarters, total points backers would have been very comfortable. Player-wise, Sensabaugh’s 43 points and 50 PRA, plus George and Filipowski’s combo lines, were premium overs territory.
New Orleans Pelicans vs Brooklyn Nets
In New Orleans, the Pelicans edged out the Brooklyn Nets 116–113 in a tight, entertaining contest. Brooklyn led narrowly at half-time 55–54, but New Orleans found another gear after the break, winning the second half 62–58 behind a strong 33-point third quarter.
Pelicans: Trey Murphy and Zion lead a deep rotation
New Orleans spread the scoring, but a couple of names stood tallest:
- Trey Murphy III – A huge outing with 34 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 made threes, totalling 48 PRA and 43 PR. He also contributed 3 steals+blocks.
- Zion Williamson – 25 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists for 33 PRA and 31 PR, adding 1 steal and 2 blocks (7 combined turnovers+stocks).
- Yves Missi – 12 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists (28 PRA, 24 PR) with strong interior presence and 1 block.
- Derik Queen – 4 points, 6 boards, 4 assists (14 PRA), chipping in across multiple categories.
- Jeremiah Fears – 7 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists for 18 PRA in a complementary role.
For prop bettors, Murphy’s scoring and threes were standout, comfortably sailing over typical lines, while Zion once again delivered across points and PR.
Nets: Balanced attack led by Porter Jr. and Demin
Brooklyn pushed New Orleans all the way with a solid spread of contributors:
- Michael Porter Jr. – 20 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist (28 PRA, 27 PR) and 4 threes made.
- Egor Demin – 17 points, 0 rebounds, 5 assists for 22 PRA and 17 PR, with 5 triples from deep.
- Drake Powell – 16 points, 5 boards, 2 assists (23 PRA), plus 2 steals and a pair of threes.
- Day’Ron Sharpe – 15 points, 9 rebounds, 0 assists (24 PRA, 24 PR) in strong inside minutes.
- Nic Claxton – 10 points, 6 boards, 0 assists (16 PRA) but added 2 steals+blocks and 4 total turnovers+stocks.
The Nets shaded the first half but couldn’t quite close it out late. From a wagering perspective, this one delivered for points and PRA overs across the board, with multiple role players (Sharpe, Powell, Demin) also turning in strong statistical nights.
Dallas Mavericks vs Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets went into Dallas and came away with a solid 118–109 win, off the back of a dominant first half. Denver led 29–23 after one and pushed that to 63–46 by half-time, thanks to a 34-point second quarter. Dallas rallied with a strong second half (63–55 to the Mavs), but the early gap proved too large.
Nuggets: Jamal Murray orchestrates a well-rounded attack
Denver’s scoring was spread nicely, with several players posting big lines:
- Jamal Murray – 33 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists for a standout 40 PRA and 35 PR. He hit 2 threes and posted 3 turnovers+stocks overall.
- Aaron Gordon – 22 points, 6 boards, 3 assists for 31 PRA and 28 PR, with 3 threes and a block.
- Peyton Watson – 18 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists (25 PRA), knocking down 2 threes.
- Spencer Jones – 10 points, 5 boards, 2 assists (17 PRA) with 2 threes as well.
- Tim Hardaway Jr. – 12 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, finishing on 19 PRA with 4 made threes and 2 steals.
With 29, 34, 25 and 30 points by quarter, Denver’s offence was extremely consistent. From an odds point of view, Murray and Gordon both landed on strong overs for points and PRA, while multiple Nuggets perimeter players cleared three-point lines.
Mavericks: Naji Marshall and Brandon Williams keep Dallas competitive
Dallas fell behind early but produced a much better second half, with several players posting solid multi-category lines:
- Naji Marshall – 24 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists for 32 PRA and 29 PR, plus 3 steals and 3 turnovers+stocks.
- Brandon Williams – 20 points, 7 boards, 1 assist (28 PRA, 27 PR), 1 block and 1 steal.
- Caleb Martin – 15 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists (22 PRA, 19 PR) and 3 steals (3 steals, no blocks).
- P.J. Washington Jr. – 12 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists (20 PRA) in a well-rounded outing.
- Dwight Powell – 5 points, 5 rebounds, 0 assists (10 PRA) and 1 block.
Despite the loss, Dallas backers on second-half lines and live totals would have had something to cheer. Individual overs on Marshall and Williams, particularly in PR and PRA, were strong results.
Sacramento Kings vs New York Knicks
In Sacramento, the Kings controlled most of the contest in a 112–101 win over the Knicks. The Kings raced to a 32–17 first-quarter lead and took a 56–42 advantage into half-time. New York did shade the second half by three points (59–56), but the early hole was simply too deep.
Kings: DeRozan, LaVine and Achiuwa do the damage
Sacramento’s starting group put together some big lines:
- DeMar DeRozan – 27 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists for a hefty 38 PRA and 33 PR. He also added a steal and a block (2 steals+blocks combined).
- Zach LaVine – 25 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist (31 PRA, 30 PR), burying 5 threes.
- Precious Achiuwa – 20 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists for a huge 36 PRA and 34 PR, plus 2 steals and 2 blocks (4 steals+blocks, 6 total turnovers+stocks).
- Russell Westbrook – 19 points, 6 boards, 11 assists, good for 36 PRA and 25 PR, playing classic high-usage, all-action Westbrook basketball.
- Maxime Raynaud – 10 points, 4 rebounds, 0 assists (14 PRA) with solid minutes inside.
With four Kings recording 30+ PRA (LaVine, DeRozan, Achiuwa, Westbrook), there was no shortage of prop overs hitting for Sacramento’s main pieces.
Knicks: Balanced but outgunned early
New York had contributions from across the roster, but lacked a singular offensive eruption:
- Mikal Bridges – 19 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist for 23 PRA and 22 PR, with 2 threes and 2 steals.
- OG Anunoby – 15 points, 3 boards, 4 assists (22 PRA), plus 2 blocks and 3 turnovers+stocks.
- Miles McBride – 10 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists (22 PRA and 16 PR) with 2 threes made.
- Mitchell Robinson – 8 points, 11 rebounds, 0 assists (19 PRA, 19 PR), adding 2 steals+blocks.
- Tyler Kolek – 7 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, totalling 17 PRA and 12 PR.
The Knicks’ depth showed in the box score, but without a 25+ point scorer, they couldn’t keep up with the Kings’ main quartet. For punters, mid-tier PRA lines on Bridges, Anunoby and McBride look to have landed, while team results were clearly with Sacramento from the opening stanza.
Los Angeles Clippers vs Washington Wizards
The Clippers jumped the Wizards early and never really looked back in a 119–105 victory. LA exploded to a 37–22 first-quarter lead and carried a 70–51 advantage into the half. Washington responded with a big 38-point third, but the Clippers steadied in the fourth (23–16) to close it out.
Clippers: Kawhi and Harden steer a complete performance
Los Angeles had a strong combination of star power and depth:
- Kawhi Leonard – 33 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists for 40 PRA and 36 PR. He was lethal from deep with 7 threes and added 4 steals (5 total turnovers+stocks).
- James Harden – 22 points, 5 boards, 8 assists (35 PRA, 27 PR), plus 2 threes. Classic playmaking and scoring blend.
- Yanic Konan Niederhauser – 16 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists (23 PRA, 21 PR), with 2 blocks and 4 combined turnovers+stocks.
- Jordan Miller – 11 points, 10 boards, 5 assists for a strong 26 PRA and 21 PR, adding 2 steals.
- Brook Lopez – 11 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist (16 PRA) with 1 block and a triple from outside.
With four Clippers posting 23+ PRA and Kawhi cracking the 30-point mark while filling the defensive stats, there was excellent value across points, threes, stocks and combo markets.
Wizards: Young core shows flashes, Kyshawn George leads the way
Washington put together a strong third quarter but couldn’t sustain the run. Still, a few players put up noteworthy numbers:
- Kyshawn George – 23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, totalling 32 PRA and 28 PR, with 2 threes and multiple defensive contributions (1 steal, 1 block, 1 turnover).
- Marvin Bagley III – 15 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists (28 PRA, 26 PR) and solid interior production.
- Khris Middleton – 17 points, 3 boards, 5 assists for 25 PRA and 20 PR, hitting 3 triples.
- Carlton Carrington – 4 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists (16 PRA) with 1 steal and 1 block, showing playmaking promise.
- Will Riley – 12 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist (15 PRA) and 1 three, plus a steal and a block.
Despite the loss, Washington’s young core showed enough to keep prop bettors interested, with George, Bagley and Middleton all turning in solid overs on scoring and PRA. Team-wise, though, the early 19-point deficit at half was never really clawed back.
Wrapping Up: What This Slate Tells Us – and How to Use It
Across the board, this was a night dominated by explosive individual performances and high-scoring contests. The Bulls–Jazz and Pelicans–Nets clashes were particularly friendly to total-points and player-prop backers, with Brice Sensabaugh (43 points, 50 PRA), Trey Murphy III (34 points, 48 PRA), Scottie Barnes (46 PRA), Donovan Mitchell (51 PRA) and Nikola Vučević (35 points, 47 PRA) all turning in massive lines.
We also saw how early quarter swings decided games well before the final buzzer: Toronto’s 39–18 start in Indiana, Cleveland’s 33–18 opener in Philly, Sacramento’s 32–17 first against New York, and the Clippers’ 37–22 burst versus Washington all effectively set the table for the result. For anyone betting quarters, halves and live markets, those trends are gold.
