High-Scoring Night in the NBA: Full Slate Game Reviews

It was a massive night in the NBA, packed with points, big individual stat lines and a few blowouts mixed in with some tight finishes. From Milwaukee’s road win in Charlotte to a shootout between Atlanta and Oklahoma City, and a monster 147-point effort from Miami in Denver, punters had no shortage of angles to chew over.

Below is a game-by-game breakdown of every matchup listed, using the official box metrics from the score records: final scores, quarters, and standout player performances in points, rebounds, assists and combo markets like PRA (points + rebounds + assists) and PR (points + rebounds).

Milwaukee Bucks vs Charlotte Hornets

Milwaukee took care of business on the road, beating Charlotte 123–113. The Bucks edged the Hornets early (25–26 to Charlotte in the first, but Milwaukee up 63–66 at half) and pulled away after the break with a 60–47 second half.

On the Hornets’ side, Brandon Miller was the clear focal point. He poured in 31 points, hit 3 threes, and stacked up 8 rebounds and 5 assists. That gave him a huge 44 PRA and 39 PR, plus 2 combined steals/blocks. LaMelo Ball wasn’t far behind as a creator, finishing with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists (35 PRA, 28 PR), though his 6 turnovers and 7 total TOs+stocks stood out for turnover punters. Moussa Diabate also produced with 14 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals (26 PRA).

Milwaukee’s scoring was more balanced but still powerful. Bobby Portis was a standout with 25 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 5 made threes, good for 28 PRA and 27 PR. Giannis Antetokounmpo delivered an all-round line of 24 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists (35 PRA), while Myles Turner put up 23 points, 6 boards, 1 assist and a massive 4 blocks (30 PRA, 4 blocks, 4 stocks, 4 TOs+stocks). Kevin Porter filled the sheet as well with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 3 blocks/steals combined, posting 31 PRA and 20 PR.

For totals bettors, every quarter cleared 23 points per side except Charlotte’s 23-point third, and the full-time total of 236 points topped most standard lines. Player prop angles clearly landed around Miller and Ball overs, and Turner’s blocks/PR markets.

Phoenix Suns vs Washington Wizards

Washington’s offence clicked on the road, taking down Phoenix 115–101. The Wizards outscored the Suns in three of four quarters and held a 61–54 lead at half before closing it out with a 54–47 second half.

Phoenix’s production was driven by Devin Booker, who finished with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (33 PRA, 28 PR). Collin Gillespie had a massive all-round game for the Suns, posting 25 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 4 TOs+stocks in total, with 35 PRA and 29 PR. Dillon Brooks chipped in 26 points, 3 boards and 0 assists but still managed 29 PRA, and Royce O’Neale hit 5 threes on his way to 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (24 PRA).

For Washington, the standout line belonged to Tre Johnson, who ended with 24 points, 1 rebound and 2 assists (27 PRA). Bilal Coulibaly produced a strong two-way outing with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block and 4 TOs+stocks, good for 23 PRA and 20 PR. Justin Champagnie contributed 11 points and 6 rebounds (17 PRA), while Marvin Bagley III added 7 points, 7 boards and 2 assists (16 PRA).

The 216-point total landed in a mid-range zone, but several PRA and three-point overs cashed, particularly for Booker, Gillespie and O’Neale on the visitor side.

Golden State Warriors vs Brooklyn Nets

Golden State protected home court with a 120–107 win over Brooklyn. The Warriors trailed 30–28 after the first but led 59–57 at half, then pulled away with a 61–50 second half, capped by a 31–22 fourth quarter.

For the Nets, Michael Porter Jr. led the way in a big way: 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (41 PRA, 36 PR), with 5 threes and 3 steals. Nic Claxton was excellent inside with 15 points, 9 boards and 4 assists, plus 3 blocks and 3 steals (28 PRA, 24 PR, 7 TOs+stocks). Egor Demin produced 23 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists (29 PRA) and an eye-catching 7 made threes.

Golden State’s scoring was well spread. Stephen Curry delivered a trademark line with 27 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists (34 PRA, 29 PR) and hit 5 threes. Jimmy Butler brought two-way impact with 21 points, 5 boards and 4 assists (30 PRA, 26 PR), while De’Anthony Melton added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist (19 PRA, 18 PR) plus 4 stocks. Trayce Jackson-Davis put up 11 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks (18 PRA, 17 PR).

This one was a tidy game for overs on three-point props (Porter Jr., Demin, Curry) and combo defensive markets, with Claxton’s 6 steals/blocks particularly notable.

Denver Nuggets vs Miami Heat

In one of the most explosive scorelines of the night, Miami blew past Denver 147–123. The Heat matched the Nuggets 63–63 at half, then dropped a whopping 84 points in the second half to Denver’s 60, including a 47-point third quarter and 37 in the fourth.

Miami’s scoring was a full team effort. Norman Powell was red-hot with 25 points, 1 rebound and 4 assists (30 PRA, 26 PR) and 3 made threes. Jaime Jaquez Jr. was everywhere with 20 points, 3 boards and 11 assists (34 PRA, 23 PR), while Nikola Jović stuffed the sheet for 22 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 threes (31 PRA, 26 PR). Kel’el Ware delivered 19 points, 9 rebounds and 0 assists (28 PRA, 28 PR), with 3 threes as a stretch big, and Davion Mitchell chipped in 10 points, 3 rebounds and 9 assists (22 PRA).

Denver had decent numbers despite the loss. Jamal Murray posted 20 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists (37 PRA, 26 PR), while Nikola Jokić put up 21 points, 5 boards and 8 assists (34 PRA, 26 PR). Jarrett Allen style line came from Jarrett-style big equivalent here in Jonas Valančiūnas’ role, but in this game the centre production was more shared; the most complete statline beyond the stars belonged to Spencer Jones, who had 16 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist (20 PRA), hitting 5 threes.

The 270-point combined total blew any reasonable pre-game total out of the water. PRA overs on Miami’s entire core – Jović, Jaquez Jr., Powell, Ware – would have cashed comfortably.

Orlando Magic vs Toronto Raptors

Toronto edged Orlando in a tight one, 107–106. The Raptors trailed 65–54 at half but stormed back with a 53–41 second half, holding Orlando to just 12 points in the final quarter while scoring 23 of their own.

Orlando were led by Paolo Banchero, who put up a monster all-round line: 23 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists, giving him 48 PRA, 38 PR and a clear triple-double in standard terms. He also added a couple of stocks (1 block, 0 steals). Anthony Black had a huge match too with 27 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists (33 PRA, 30 PR), while Desmond Bane delivered 18 points, 6 boards and 3 assists (27 PRA, 24 PR), including a made three. Tyus Jones rounded out the guard output with 10 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists (16 PRA).

For Toronto, Brandon Ingram was key with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (30 PRA, 26 PR). Scottie Barnes had a classic all-round game: 13 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists (26 PRA, 24 PR), plus a steal and a block for 5 total TOs+stocks. Jamal Shead was central at guard with 19 points, 4 boards and 5 assists (28 PRA, 23 PR), and Gradey Dick chipped in 15 points (hitting 2 threes), 1 rebound and 0 assists for 16 PRA.

With just a one-point margin and a total of 213, it was the tightest game of the slate and a reminder that late-game swings can crush or cash spreads and live bets very quickly.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Chicago Bulls

Minnesota absolutely ran away from Chicago, hammering the Bulls 136–101 on the road. After leading 55–50 at half, the Wolves exploded for a 40-point third quarter and 41 in the fourth, outscoring Chicago 81–51 in the second half.

The Timberwolves’ star was Naz Reid with a massive line: 33 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists, giving him 43 PRA and 40 PR. He also knocked down 6 threes and added a steal. Anthony Edwards contributed a strong 23 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists (29 PRA, 25 PR) with 2 threes and 2 stocks. Chicago had some bright spots despite the blowout. Nikola Vučević delivered 23 points, 5 boards and 2 assists (30 PRA, 28 PR) with 3 threes. Ayo Dosunmu finished with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (23 PRA, 16 PR), and Josh Giddey added 11 points, 4 boards and 3 assists (18 PRA). Matas Buzelis chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists (20 PRA).

With 237 total points and multiple huge PRA performances, this was a game where overs backers – particularly on Reid, Okongwu and Randle – were well rewarded.

Atlanta Hawks vs Oklahoma City Thunder

Oklahoma City lit up the scoreboard in a 140–129 win over Atlanta. The Thunder trailed 74–70 at half, but a dominant 43–29 third quarter flipped the game and they held on in the last.

For OKC, it was the stars doing the heavy lifting. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was superb with 39 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (51 PRA, 45 PR) plus 2 steals and 2 blocks on the stocks side. Chet Holmgren paired with him perfectly, delivering 24 points, 9 boards and 2 assists (35 PRA, 33 PR), with 3 blocks and 2 threes. Jalen Williams added 20 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists (36 PRA, 29 PR), while Cason Wallace had a breakout line of 17 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists (27 PRA, 24 PR) including 5 made threes.

Atlanta’s best came from role players stepping up. Nickeil Alexander-Walker finished with 30 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists (39 PRA, 34 PR), drilling 6 threes and contributing 3 steals/blocks. Onyeka Okongwu dominated the paint with 26 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists (46 PRA, 40 PR) plus 3 made threes and 5 stocks. Dyson Daniels posted 13 points, 6 boards and 7 assists (26 PRA), and Max Christie-style wing role was filled by Luke Kennard here, who logged 12 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists (21 PRA) with 3 threes.

The 269-point total was right up there with the highest of the night. Anyone chasing alt total overs or PRA ladders on SGA, Holmgren, NAW or Okongwu had plenty to cheer about.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs San Antonio Spurs

Cleveland handled San Antonio on the road with a 113–101 victory. The Spurs led 55–49 at half, but the Cavs turned it around with a 64–46 second half, including a 37-point final quarter.

For the Spurs, Victor Wembanyama had a big but not quite dominant line by his standards: 26 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists (43 PRA, 40 PR) with 2 combined steals/blocks and 2 made threes. Luke Kornet was a surprise contributor with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists (22 PRA, 19 PR), while Stephon Castle added 15 points, 4 boards and 8 assists (27 PRA, 19 PR). Dylan Harper had 11 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist (16 PRA).

This was a more moderate-scoring game at 214 total points, but still fertile ground for big-man props on Allen and Wembanyama, especially PRA and PR.

Indiana Pacers vs Houston Rockets

Houston (listed as the home side in the records) outgunned Indiana in a fast-paced affair, winning 126–119. The Rockets jumped out to a 66–48 halftime lead and held off a late Pacers surge despite being outscored 71–60 in the second half.
