It was a huge slate of NBA action with everything from nail-biters to offensive shootouts. The Boston Celtics and Minnesota Timberwolves traded blows in a four-point thriller, the Charlotte Hornets outlasted the Toronto Raptors in a high-scoring clash, and Chicago edged Indiana in a grinding two-point contest.

Elsewhere, Detroit and Miami put up a combined 273 points in a wild shootout, Milwaukee dominated Brooklyn with a balanced team effort, and Golden State finished strong to see off New Orleans. The Denver–Phoenix matchup turned into a statement road win for the Nuggets, while Dallas came from behind in the second half to steal one against the Clippers.

Below is a game-by-game breakdown of the scores and standout performances from each matchup, using the official box stats and scoring data.

Boston Celtics vs Minnesota Timberwolves

Minnesota defended home court in a fast-paced, high-scoring contest, edging Boston 119–115. The Timberwolves had to overturn a halftime deficit after trailing 69–59 at the break, but they responded with a massive second half, outscoring the Celtics 60–46.

The first quarter set the tone offensively – Boston put up 36 points to Minnesota’s 32. The Celtics backed that up with 33 in the second term, taking a 69–59 lead into halftime. From there, Minnesota flipped the game with a dominant 35–23 third quarter, wresting control and never quite letting it go, closing it out 25–23 in the fourth.

Timberwolves: Edwards and Randle power the comeback

Anthony Edwards was the undisputed engine for Minnesota. He finished with 39 points, adding 2 rebounds and 5 assists for a massive 46 PRA (points + rebounds + assists) and 41 PR (points + rebounds). He also kept turnovers and defensive errors low, recording just 1 combined turnover/steal/block in the negative sense (via the “tos + steals + blocks” metric from the JSON).

Julius Randle was a strong secondary option, posting 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists, good for 31 PRA and 25 PR. Naz Reid provided efficient support with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists (20 PRA), while Donte DiVincenzo stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, 3 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals (26 PRA).

Rudy Gobert quietly contributed across the board with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists (23 PRA), and Jaden McDaniels chipped in 8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, plus a combined 2 steals + blocks (15 PRA).

Celtics: Brown explodes, Queta dominates the glass

For Boston, Jaylen Brown was enormous. He poured in 41 points to go with 6 rebounds and 7 assists. That gave him a team-high 54 PRA and 47 PR, and he was everywhere on defence with 5 steals and 1 block, totalling 10 in the tos + steals + blocks metric (4 turnovers plus 6 stocks).

Neemias Queta put up one of the more eye-catching interior lines of the day with 19 points and a monster 18 rebounds, plus 2 blocks. He finished on 37 PRA and 37 PR, a dominant big-man outing even in defeat.

Derrick White (16 points, 1 rebound, 5 assists – 22 PRA) and Sam Hauser (14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists – 24 PRA) also contributed strongly, while Payton Pritchard added 9 points, 5 boards and 4 assists (18 PRA).

Toronto Raptors vs Charlotte Hornets

Charlotte held serve at home with a 118–111 win over Toronto, closing strongly in the fourth quarter. The Hornets trailed 58–52 at halftime but turned it around with a 66–53 second half, including a 24–17 final term to put the game away.

Toronto came out of the blocks quicker, winning the first quarter 34–21 and taking a 58–52 edge into the break. Charlotte lifted its offence from the second term onwards, winning the remaining three quarters 31–24, 28–29 and 24–17.

Hornets: Bridges leads, Knueppel steps up

Miles Bridges was the standout for Charlotte, dropping 35 points with 3 rebounds and 0 assists. He finished with 38 PRA and 38 PR, and even added a steal and block combo (1 steal, 0 blocks).

Rookie wing Kon Knueppel was superb as a two-way contributor: 20 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals + blocks and a hot hand from deep with 4 made threes. His 30 PRA and 26 PR underline how impactful he was across the board.

Moussa Diabaté (7 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists – 18 PRA), Ryan Kalkbrenner (8 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists – 16 PRA) and Collin Sexton (18 points, 1 rebound, 5 assists – 24 PRA) rounded out a balanced Hornets effort. LaMelo Ball didn’t need to dominate scoring-wise, but still posted 14 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists (21 PRA) as a steady playmaker.

Raptors: Barnes stuffs the stat sheet

For Toronto, Scottie Barnes did a bit of everything. He tallied 30 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists, good for 47 PRA and 42 PR. He also added 2 steals and 1 block, plus 3 turnovers, for a 6 total tos + steals + blocks line.

Immanuel Quickley played the lead guard role with 22 points, 3 rebounds and 10 assists, finishing on 35 PRA and 25 PR. Brandon Ingram provided a reliable secondary scoring punch with 22 points, 6 boards and 4 assists (32 PRA, 28 PR).

Jakob Poeltl quietly put together a strong interior line with 8 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists, plus 1 steal and 1 block (28 PRA, 19 PR, 3 steals+blocks). Sandro Mamukelashvili (13 points, 3 rebounds, 0 assists – 16 PRA) and Gradey Dick (5 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist – 8 PRA) chipped in as well.

Chicago Bulls vs Indiana Pacers

In one of the tighter games of the day, Chicago edged Indiana 103–101 in a grindy, low-scoring affair by today’s standards. The Bulls led 61–54 at halftime and just about held off a second-half push from the Pacers, who won the second half 47–42 but fell short by two.

Chicago’s second quarter was pivotal – a 35–27 frame that created the cushion they’d need down the stretch. Indiana’s 21–17 run in the fourth made things interesting, but the Bulls managed to close it out.

Pacers: Siakam and Jackson carry the load

Pascal Siakam was Indiana’s focal point, finishing with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for 37 PRA and 33 PR. He was active defensively too, registering 2 steals and 2 blocks (4 stocks, 5 tos + steals + blocks including turnovers).

Big man Isaiah Jackson had a huge all-round game: 14 points, 11 rebounds and 1 assist (26 PRA, 25 PR), plus 2 blocks and 1 steal. Bennedict Mathurin added 19 points, 6 boards and 3 dimes (28 PRA, 25 PR), though his 5 turnovers were costly in such a close contest.

Jay Huff was a notable contributor off the bench with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 blocks (24 PRA, 22 PR), providing much-needed rim protection and spacing via 4 made threes.

Bulls: Giddey and Vučević headline a balanced effort

Josh Giddey led Chicago’s all-round effort with 17 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for a hefty 35 PRA and 28 PR. His ball-handling and playmaking were crucial as the Bulls tried to control tempo.

Nikola Vučević delivered his usual double-double presence with 16 points, 8 boards and 6 assists (30 PRA, 24 PR), plus a steal and a block. Tre Jones provided punch at both guard spots, finishing with 17 points, 1 rebound and 2 assists (20 PRA).

Rookie forward Matas Buzelis turned in a promising line of 8 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists (21 PRA, 19 PR), also tallying 3 blocks and 1 steal. Ayo Dosunmu (15 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists – 23 PRA) and Kevin Huerter (15 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist – 19 PRA) rounded out a deep rotation.

Detroit Pistons vs Miami Heat

If you were chasing offence, this was the game. Detroit beat Miami 138–135 in an absolute shootout, with both sides lighting it up from start to finish. The Pistons led 71–59 at halftime and needed every bit of that cushion as the Heat roared back with a 76-point second half, narrowly falling short.

Detroit’s consistency across quarters (36, 35, 37, 30) contrasted with Miami’s huge late surge, including a 44-point fourth quarter from the Heat. In the end, the Pistons’ aggregate 138–135 proved just enough.

Pistons: Cade leads, Tobias and Stewart step up

Cade Cunningham was the driving force for Detroit, finishing with 29 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists for 41 PRA and 33 PR. He was aggressive and creative, though his 8 turnovers kept Miami in the game at stages.

Tobias Harris delivered a big scoring night with 26 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists (32 PRA, 30 PR), while Isaiah Stewart added 9 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist (18 PRA, 17 PR) plus a block. Paul Reed was an excellent role player, posting 13 points, 10 boards and 2 assists for 25 PRA and 23 PR.

From the perimeter, Duncan Robinson hit 18 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 threes (28 PRA), while rookie Ausar Thompson contributed 10 points, 8 boards and 3 assists (21 PRA).

Heat: Wiggins catches fire, Powell lethal as sixth man

Andrew Wiggins had one of the standout stat lines of the slate. He racked up 31 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists, good for 41 PRA and 37 PR, with strong defensive activity (3 steals, 1 block).

Norman Powell torched Detroit off the bench with 28 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 made threes (33 PRA, 30 PR). Tyler Herro added 24 points, 4 boards and 2 assists (30 PRA, 28 PR), and big man Bam Adebayo contributed with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 1 assist (26 PRA, 25 PR).

Dru Smith also posted a handy all-round line with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (18 PRA, 14 PR), while Kel’el Ware added 12 points, 7 boards and 0 assists (19 PRA, 19 PR) in a strong frontcourt cameo.

Brooklyn Nets vs Milwaukee Bucks

Milwaukee were in control for most of the night against Brooklyn, running out 116–99 winners. The Bucks dominated the middle quarters – 39–24 in the second and 28–17 in the third – to build a 71–53 halftime lead and cruise from there.

Brooklyn did finish well with a 29-point fourth quarter, but the damage was already done by Milwaukee’s balanced attack and efficient defence.

Bucks: Giannis anchors, role players shine

Giannis Antetokounmpo delivered a familiar all-round performance with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists, totalling 39 PRA and 37 PR. He added 2 steals and a three-pointer for good measure.

Kevin Porter Jr. ran the show effectively, posting 13 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists (23 PRA, 17 PR), with solid defence (1 steal, 1 block) and just 1 turnover.

Nets: Danny Wolf leads the resistance

For Brooklyn, Danny Wolf was the standout scorer and creator. He finished with 22 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists (30 PRA, 26 PR), and knocked down 5 threes to stretch the floor.

Jalen Wilson and Ben Saraf each produced useful all-round lines. Wilson had 13 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists (18 PRA, 16 PR), while Saraf recorded 10 points, 0 boards, 7 assists and strong defensive involvement (17 PRA, 10 PR).

Nic Claxton (7 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists – 14 PRA) and Day’Ron Sharpe (7 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists – 16 PRA) were active on the interior but couldn’t slow Milwaukee’s balanced scoring.

New Orleans Pelicans vs Golden State Warriors

Golden State rode a big second half to a 104–96 win over New Orleans. The Warriors led 42–38 at halftime and outscored the Pelicans 62–58 after the break, fuelled by a 31-point final quarter to close it out.

The Pelicans won the third 34–31 to get back in the contest, but Golden State’s 31–24 fourth quarter sealed the result.

Warriors: Butler’s triple-threat night, Payton on the glass

Jimmy Butler turned in a classic all-round performance with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists, good for 42 PRA and 32 PR. He also limited mistakes, recording just 2 turnovers and no steals/blocks on the night.

The supporting cast was solid: Moses Moody had 11 points, 3 boards and 0 assists (14 PRA), while Quinten Post added 8 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block (12 PRA).

Pelicans: Zion and Bey shoulder the scoring

Zion Williamson led New Orleans with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (36 PRA, 32 PR), drawing attention in the paint all night.

Saddiq Bey provided valuable perimeter scoring with 21 points, 7 boards and 3 assists (31 PRA, 28 PR), including 2 made threes and a block. Rookie guard Jeremiah Fears impressed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists (24 PRA, 22 PR), while Yves Missi posted 9 points and a double-double-level contribution of 10 rebounds (19 PRA, 19 PR).

Denver Nuggets vs Phoenix Suns

Denver went into Phoenix and blew the Suns off the floor, winning 130–112. The Nuggets led every quarter, stretching a 63–60 halftime edge into a 130–112 final margin with a 67–52 second half. The visitors dropped at least 30 points in every period and never really looked back.

Royce O’Neale was a bright spot with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist (22 PRA, 21 PR), while Oso Ighodaro contributed 8 points, 8 boards and 3 assists (19 PRA, 16 PR).

Phoenix got decent stats across the rotation – Grayson Allen (10 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists – 14 PRA) and Collin Gillespie (12 points, 0 rebounds, 2 assists – 14 PRA) – but couldn’t match Denver’s offensive firepower or efficiency over four quarters.

Dallas Mavericks vs Los Angeles Clippers

Dallas closed the night with a strong road win over the Clippers, 114–110. LA led 56–49 at halftime after winning the first two quarters, but the Mavericks stormed back with a 34–27 third and a 31–27 fourth to flip the game on its head, outscoring the Clippers 65–54 in the second half.

Clippers: Kawhi and Harden big, but turnovers hurt

Kawhi Leonard led the way for the Clippers with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists, good for 41 PRA and 38 PR. He knocked down 3 threes and was steady, with only 2 turnovers.

John Collins was effective with 21 points, 4 boards and 1 assist (26 PRA, 25 PR), while Kris Dunn added 6 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists (11 PRA). However, LA’s turnovers across the board – including 2 from Kawhi, 2 from Zubac, and 2 from Nicolas Batum and Kobe Brown each – gave Dallas too many extra trips.

Mavericks: Cooper Flagg announces himself

For Dallas, Cooper Flagg was the story. The young star erupted for 35 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists, totalling 45 PRA and 43 PR. He did that without relying on the three-ball (0 made threes), attacking inside and at the line.

Klay Thompson provided veteran scoring support with 23 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist (27 PRA, 26 PR), knocking down 6 threes. Dwight Powell was a key X-factor, delivering 9 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists (17 PRA, 14 PR) while disrupting passing lanes with 6 steals and a block (8 tos + steals + blocks).

Brandon Williams chipped in 14 points, 1 rebound and 7 assists (22 PRA, 15 PR), and Naji Marshall added 18 points, 8 boards and 3 assists (29 PRA, 26 PR) from the wing. It was a textbook second-half response from Dallas, powered by Flagg’s breakout scoring night.
